We offer guided visits to our farm for a total immersion into our world and history that will stir the senses with the sights, sounds, smells, stories, and tastes of the Florentine hills. Our tours take you on foot through our centuries old olive groves, passing by our beehives, to our state of the art orciaia (olive oil cellar). Throughout the tour we share in-depth explanations of our organic olive oil and honey production methods. After the walking tours, groups are treated to a tasting of our award winning organic extra virgin olive oil and organic honey on a terrace that offers sweeping views of our surrounding valleys. Our experience in receiving diverse groups with a wide range of interests (agriculture, history, culture, economics, architecture...) allows us to offer you a tailor-made experience. After the tour is over, we encourage our guests to stick around and enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful views and fresh breeze. For more in-depth details about our tours please see below.

The Fattoria Poggio di Fiesole is nestled in centuries-old olive groves with sweeping views of Florence and the surrounding hills. Located at approximately 450 meters above sea level and a short three kilometers away from the historic center of Fiesole, we are immersed in nature while being a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of town life.

Family owned and operated for four generations, the Scaravellis have olive oil in their veins. Developed in the early 1300's, the methodology of the farm we see today was put into place by the current generation's father. Alberto was a pioneer in the field of ecology and visionary in the field of organic agriculture. A passionate researcher, he was among the first to spread organic agricultural practices in Italy.

The tour will take you from branch to bottle, and everything in between! In addition to covering the production cycle of the olives grown here at our farm, our guide is happy to tailor-make the experience for our guests. Topics such as the economy of small-scale farming, the history of the local culture, and many others, can also be included by request.

The tour is available in three languages: Italian, French, and English. It typically lasts an 1h30, but we encourage people to stay longer to enjoy the view! Tours are priced by group size. Reach out to us today for a quote.

We encourage groups of all shapes and sizes to visit! We've hosted everything from groups of university students, to families looking for something off the beaten track, to private individuals wanting a better idea of the oil they put on their plate each evening. Whatever the size, we can accommodate you here at the farm.

Since its founding during the Reniassance, centuries before official organic certification was available, the farm has operated under the rules and principles of organic agriculture. Today, the sons of Alberto Scaravelli, an ecological pioneer of the 60's and 70's, continue with the same conviction and strive to preserve the environment while guaranteeing the highest quality of organic oil.
