FLORENTINE HILLS

Enjoy the natural beauty surrounding our centuries-old farmhouse. Nestled among olive groves near the top of a hill, breathtaking views of Florence and the timeless Tuscan countryside abound.

Just a short drive from the hilltop village of Fiesole and 15 minutes from the marvelous city of Florence, we offer a prime example of tranquil countryside living year round. Guests will find themselves enveloped in beauty here at the farm, with a never ending parade of sites to see and things to do both at the farm and nearby.

We offer four full apartments of various sizes that have been recently renovated to feature a clean aesthetic full of classic Tuscan charm. Each apartment has updated furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, and a dedicated outdoor space, complete with a shaded table and chairs for al fresco dining. Apartments can be rented individually or together, allowing for larger group stays.

We can also provide you with a deeper dive into our world and history. We offer tours of our farm, organic olive oil and honey production, as well as tours of the region’s wild edible plants.

Rich in history, from its founding as a convent to hosting legendary yoga retreats in the 60s and 70s, our farmhouse has always been a refuge where you can find calm and connect with nature. All of 17.5 hectars of the farm are open to guests; we encourage visitors to wander through our wooded areas and olive groves, which offer spectacular views of the Mugnone Valley and an unparalleled sense of serenity.

BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY SEASON

Tranquility and adventures abound in each season in the Tuscan Hills. Springs are mild with fields full of wild flowers and temperatures ideal for bike rides and hiking. Summer days are lazy and long — perfect for an afternoon nap under the shade of a cypress tree and enjoying a home cooked meal outside as the sun goes down. Fall is abuzz with our annual olive harvest (the most exciting time of year!) while the region is full of mushroom hunting, persimmons picking, and wine making. Winter is mild and quiet, a time to relax indoors with a good book and to enjoy a stroll through the olive groves as you marvel at the breathtaking cloud formations in the valley below.
